Din Tai Fung The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Had a little getaway to Singapore last month, and stuffed myself with all foods I've been craving. I also got recommendation from my cousin who studied at Singapore that said it's a must to try Din Tai Fung at Singapore. I've tried Din Tai Fung in Jakarta, but I'm just indifferent about it. My mom was recommending it too, said it's different from the one in Jakarta. Turns out that it actually does, cos it's not halal :D

The system is to write down your order first (ask for the menu, paper, and pen to shopkeeper outside) and give it back to her. She'll then give you queue number and later call you accordingly. You can sit back and wait for your order, cos she already put it into the kitchen.

Siew Mai

The most popular menu at Din Tai Fung, be it in Jakarta or overseas, is their famous Xiao Long Bao. As widely known Xiao Long Bao is dumpling filled with clear soup. My father specially requested to not order this because he doesn't like the soup. I agreed and ordered Siew Mai instead, thinking it would be like an ordinary Siew Mai. Turns out it's still Xiao Long Bao lol. Only topped with prawn and have thicker skin so maybe that's why it's called so. It's good though, I personally like it. The green vegetables on the picture was sauteed Dou Miao (that's extremely hard to order in Jakarta, they kept running out of it).

Roselle Drink

I ordered this while my parents ordered Chinese tea (typical..). Thinking it would be sweet (bcs I usually ordered in here and it's sweet!) but it turns out more towards sour x_x (probably due to dried sour plum drowned in there) mom likes this though, we ended up switching drinks :| I find the drink is unique cos the ice cube is made from the roselle as well! So when it melts, it wouldn't change the taste of the drink. The ice cube is so round and so cute and not as sour cos hasn't been disrupted by the damn sour plum.

Pork Chop Fried Rice

*insert heavenly sound effect here* It's the star of the show! The fried rice is just like any other Chinese fried rice, but the pork chop though! It's to die for. Next time I go here, I'm sure going to order the pork chop separately! The portion is quite generous, I share this with mom.

Mango Pudding

My favorite (Chinese) dessert of all time. Love the generous amount of mangoes they put both as topping and inside the pudding. I have no complaint.

I think it's true that you at least have to try this once because the variety of menu is completely different from the one in Jakarta. The selection of menu is not too many, but each deserves honorable mention. Unfortunately due to our weak currency it's actually quite pricey. If only our exchange rate towards SGD was like IDR 5,000 or 6,000 like in the past, this actually on par with Indonesia's Din Tai Fung's price. Nevertheless, when I go to Singapore again (despite of heavily used Mandarin language here that I couldn't understand), I will definitely come back.

Jiuzhai Valley Restaurant PIK Jakarta Review

I just got email from a certain five star hotel in Jakarta. Though I rarely check my email and the invitation has obviously expired, I do realize people do read my blog hehehe.. (well yea I have statistics but due to the lack of comments I sometimes feel disheartened.)

Anyway, got recommendation from a China native man to eat at this Chinese restaurant at Pantai Indah Kapuk Jakarta. He said this is the closest he gets to the authentic cuisine back in Guangzhou. Closest in Jakarta, but nowhere near the authentic. The statement is ambiguous. Anyway, bf and I gave it a try. Bf has tried the one in Guangzhou and I think he could make a fair comparison.

Gan Guo Pork Intestine

This was bf's favorite cuisine when he visited Guangzhou. Cooked with lots of oil and many kinds of chili. Very tasty but prepare for the spiciness. The spiciness is real O.O There are also few slices of potatoes inside, but the intestines are the stars. (Small portion: IDR 58k, big portion: IDR 78k)

Hui Guo Rou

To be honest, we looked at the menu and got confused, hence we asked the waitress what's the popular dish in there and she pointed this. This is pork belly cooked with, again, lots of oil and chili. But there is edible green veggies there (garlic chives?). The spiciness is not as overwhelming as the pork intestine but this tastes as good. When we visit the second time (yes, there is already second visit lol) we ordered this again. And the pork intestine, of course. The pork belly costs: for small portion IDR 48k, big portion IDR 68k.

Yang Chow Fried Rice

We visit this place after we had massage at Nano Reflexology, Pluit. That place gives free food and beverage as compliment and since I finished faster than bf, I had chicken porridge there hahaha.. So I only took few spoons from this Yang Chow Fried Rice. Tasted okay, nothing special. Price: IDR 30k.

I have to remind if you don't like salty food, this isn't the place for you. I like it and I know when food are overly salty, but for me this is decent and a good salty. Please trust my taste buds haha.. I just have to clarify this because I read people complain of the food being too salty. For me it isn't, but I guess it depends. Jiuzhai Valley opens until midnight, so if you're in the neighborhood and want nice food with rice at very late (bcs Indonesian can't live with rice :D), do come visit.

The only minus thing from this place is the waitresses!! They are not waitress. They're more like your maid or helper from home and asked to serve in this restaurant. Very rude, no manner, talk back to customer, record the wrong order (we order big portion, she gave small one wtf), sit in the customer table, sleep in customer table -_______- but then again, you do not pay for any service charge!
When we visit the second time, there this native Chinese lady (I assume the owner) and the waitresses behaved a bit better :|

Will I be back: Yes. (I need to explore other menus though, since twice went there I ordered the same thing T.T)

Bubur Kam Seng Mangga Besar Jakarta Review

Years ago, I saw one of my Facebook friends posted Chinese food and caption the picture as "Kam Seng!!!". At that time I thought Kam Seng was a Chinese word with a meaning like "Kanpei!". Turns out it's a name :|

So last night I finally had a chance to visit this porridge place with my brother and unwilling bf lol.

Here's what we ordered. From the very left side clockwise: Bubur Tiga Rasa, Tahu Kecap, Cheong Fan/Cheong Fun (Chinese Rice Roll) large, Bubur Guangzhou Special, Cheong Fun small, and 3 portions of Cakue.

Closer look of the orders without the cheong fun. Bubur Tiga Rasa (3 flavored Congee) contains 3 kinds of eggs inside; salted eggs, century eggs, and I forgot the other one sorry :| Bf ordered this. Then me & bro shared Guangzhou Special Congee with peanuts, char siew, and sliced fried eggs.

My portion! Congee is usually eaten with side dishes but even though I'm a Chinese descendant, I'm not a big fan of porridge and never really eat congee. We usually ate porridge plain or just with chicken or fish fillet, the end. Then we're kind of amazed that everyone else in this place ordered a lot of side dishes to complement their congees. As other reviews have stated, their cheong fun is indeed memorable. It's the nicest dish on the table. It has tiny bits of char siew instead (optional) but the rice roll itself tastes very nice.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ (additional comment from bf: Best porridge but not exceptionally great, there's a lot of other menus to explore :D)
Will I be back: Yes.

Dessert at Imperial Chef Hayam Wuruk Jakarta Review

Well, not purely a review :D I think I just want to put the picture of my most favorite Chinese dessert of all time (other than Durian Pancake :p). It's Mango Pudding from Imperial Chef!

Note: Imperial Chef is Duck King branch that serves porkie~ ♥

Anyway, if you wonder why I don't post the whole dining experience, it's because I always fail in capturing moment while eating here. Food is always gone in a flash. Dessert is captured because it's leisurely time lol.

I think this mango pudding needs no explanation. It's simply the best mango pudding in Jakarta. The scooped fruit usually consists of honeydew and watermelon. This time when I took the pic, I got all watermelon. But I prefer this way. I don't like honeydew :|

Then 2 days after this visit, my family and I visited here again lol. Never get enough of the pork and dimsum! I tried to step out of my comfort zone (in choosing dessert) and didn't eat mango pudding, though I would really like to eat it everyday!! I ended up choosing Fried Ice Cream O.O

Then I regret it lol. From the form, it's actually different from what I pictured. I had one in Singapore and it looks nothing like this :| Another thing, it took long time to come out. I understand since frying an ice cream should be needing a skill, no? But then it just tastes like a vanilla ice cream (you can't choose the flavor. Only vanilla boohoo~) with a fried flour. They don't go well with each other, but if you eat them separately they actually taste nice!! Sorry I cheated on you, dear mango pudding. I won't choose another dessert from now on :s

Kitchenette Plaza Indonesia Jakarta Review

Ugh I feel so outdated. People have been visiting this place soooo many times and waayyyyyy more frequently than me, while I, who did self-proclaimed as a food blogger, just got a chance to visit this place last week! What can I say I live so far away :(

We visit there around 3 or 4 PM, on weekend. And I can say, we're now officially the part of the hype. Why? Because we got into waiting list lol. While waiting they served free lemonade to those who waited :) I had good service as well. Even though I already put my name into the waiting list, still the waiter from inside come to me and offered to find me table. Which he did successfully! So I didn't wait for so long!! *happy* No I wasn't cutting the queue loh. It's my turn already :p

-Mango and Orange Elixir-

Unlike many other restaurants in Jakarta (like stated in few previous posts), sometimes I find it hard to choose drinks. I always look up for something that's worth the price. But in Kitchenette, I almost ordered 3 drinks. No kidding. I was hit by sunlight that day before reaching Kitchenette because I was crossing the road from Grand Indonesia to Plaza Indonesia, so I really craved for something fresh, sweet, and cold. I eyed the choices of elixir, frozen frappe (and any other frozen stuff, basically), and Creme Caramel by TWG. But ended up choosing this one. Because bf ordered frozen frappe I might just try it from him then.

-Cookies n Cream Frappe-

Not a big fan of whipped cream!! I hate whipped cream. But it tasted quite nice anyway. Bf said he would come back for this but I didn't agree. I was expecting strong cookies/chocolate flavor but then the coffee smell and taste dominated. Well it's frappe after all -_-

-Gateau-

Was ordering Theodore at first. But I didn't know why it's no longer available :( Disappointed. In the menu, it says that it came with roasted potato. What I had in mind that it would come with small rounded potato ball. Not a potato chip. That's too oily -_- The only thing I didn't like from the dish honestly. Beneath those potatoes lies melted cheese and pork bacon (you can choose between pork and turkey). The galette itself is unique. At first you will say it's like the ordinary martabak, but the more you chewed, the more you craved for it!

-Nicholas-

It's quite funny though how they named the savory one with guys' name, while the sweet galette/crepes with girls' name :D This is bf's order. Filled with meat everywhere. Ordered pork one as well. And that round meat is spicy!! For me at least. He likes it so much. I guess he'd make a better food judge rather than me because he said the word "like this food" so rarely.

Anyway, Kitchenette is holding Instagram competition. Stage 1 is until this March 18th!

How to join:
~ Took your picture from Kitchenette
~ Post it to your Instagram with hashtag #instaKitchenette and mention @K1TCHENETTE and @Ismaya.

Winner will be going through few stages and main prize is iPhone 4S! Have fun eating and competing! :D

Old Town White Coffee Indonesia Review

I don't recognize this name. Really. I passed the store few times but I thought it was sort of like The Coffee Bean? But it turns out more like a Kopitiam instead :)

As my auntie told me (may correct her if she's wrong), Old Town White Coffee is store branched from Singapore. I wasn't big on coffee so I'm not really recognizing coffee stores all over the world. It's different if you're asking tea place, like Chatime, to me :p

So last Saturday, me and my auntie was on Mall Taman Anggrek, as I previously stated on last post and we had lunch there. I was going to pick Sushi Groove or Pepper Lunch as safe choice, but my auntie insisted on eating proper white rice. Since she's the one paying then fine, I'll go with her pick. As you may guess, we went to Old Town. It's located on LG floor just beside Kopitiam and it's still new. It's packed! Many people were eating lunch there. Luckily we got seat. (there were only 2 seats left!)

Auntie ordered Dory Fish Rice. While I was drooling over many choices of noodle and I can't even decide! So I asked the waiter and he said the noodles that got ordered by many people is Mee Beehoon Prawn. (not sure of the menu name though)

YUM! It has literally MANY things inside. Prawn, squids, veggies, half egg, beehoon (vermicelli), mee (noodles), fish cake, and... uh.. many things! I just can't remember. And the broth tasted AWESOME. A bit spicy but so freshen! I will be back here ;)

For the drink I ordered Raspberry Smoothie (price 25k). There's another choice which is added with Yoghurt (price 28k), but I didn't choose that because I thought that would be too much since the noodles I was predicted would be sour. But the smoothie turned out a bit too sweet for my liking. And it tastes like Sugus Grape, in a form of cold liquid. Another choice of flavor is Orange Smoothie. I will try again with the yoghurt perhaps :D

For the closing of the day before leaving Taman Anggrek, auntie bought me Maquis. They're opening booth at Peking Symphony stage at atrium. Originally I saw them at Central Park. I bought Chocolate Mini Cake and Edam Mini Cake. When I got back home, opened the nice paper bag, it contained Edam and Almond one -_- and it doesn't taste good. So thick of cheese. So unless you're a big fan of cheese, I wouldn't suggest you to buy Maquis Mini Cake :|

Took the pic at home :( pretty pink cake store why didn't you taste nice? And honestly got not many choices also.

Anyhow I would recommend Old Town. The varieties of menu are many so you may wanna come back 10 times to try them each.
Tomorrow I'll be back to daily regular life. Hope will be able to post another Lunar New Year food experience :D
Have a nice day!

Rice Bowl

Hello from Chef Panda! I never know this restaurant has been so cute since I never eat here again for almost 2 years. From the slight appearance of the roasted duck above, can you guess what restaurant is this? :)
Nobody would answer anyway. This is Rice Bowl.

So many memories~

Iced Lemon Tea and Orange Float

KungPao Noodle

Kangkung Garlic

Black Pepper Beef

Plus one bowl Hainanese Rice for me and plain white rice for my bro. Ate this during Lebaran holiday also but before our parents come. I'm honestly disappointed. Rice Bowl was my favorite restaurant 2 years ago. I accompanied my best friend break fasting here (not breakfast), I dated here, I gathered with my friends from net world in here. I did many things in here in the past, but now I don't think I'll ever come back again. All those food if I reviewed will only make me use bad words :( So, this is a gallery post then. Enjoy the pics! :)

Pork Alert

Last week has been a devastating for non-Moslem Indonesian citizen. Lol okay I was exaggerating. Last week was a Lebaran holiday. As it always happens every year in Indonesia, more than half people in the capital city, Jakarta, were going back to their hometown in an activity called "mudik". As this happened, many food places and restaurants are closed. The ones that stayed in Jakarta had hard times in finding food. But I enjoy my precious one week holiday tho ;) Here are photos of my food during Lebaran holiday! :D

Nasi Campur

I believe it doesn't have English name :| This was eaten at ITC Mangga Dua 2nd floor in a kiosk named Casio Garing Bintang Lima. Consists of 3 types of Pork (Lapciong, Char Siew, Crispy Pork Skin), slices of chicken and half boiled egg. The rice is cooked with Hainanese Rice's style. Yum-meh! A must eat every time I went shopping at ITC ;D

Sekba

Muahaha be afraid of this food. This is Sekba. Contains of a lotttt of pork's intestines, lungs, Chinese pickled vegetables, potatoes, tofus, and boiled with lots of traditional Chinese ingredients, I believe. (Since you can smell a strong unpleasant aroma from this food lol.) Usually there's even skins from pig and its meat but by the time I bought it, it's sold out already! Bought at Pluit during Lebaran holiday and this place is super crowded! I even ate the delicious Duck Beehoon there but I forgot to snap hehe~ Even tho it smells horribly (kekeke) but the taste is definitely worth the smell!

Mille Crepe

The next day I had lunch with my family at Sushi Tei Central Park. I guess I don't need to snap sushi's pictures since I think everybody is familiar with Sushi Tei. But this dessert! Not so new. I've had it quite few times I just finally remember to snap the pic this time lol. So I proudly present, the Green Tea Mille Crepe topped with Red Bean Sauce from Mionette Cakes cooperated with Sushi Tei. (I just found this out minutes ago! Lol.) This is the mille crepe that has strongest milk taste among other crepe cakes I've ever tasted. And I mean this in a good way ;)

Hmm. Kinda confused to write the name lol. So after the lunch at Sushi Tei @ 3 PM, we continued to this restaurant named Beautika Restaurant @ 5.30 PM. Barbaric much? Lol. Beautika Restaurant located at Tanah Abang, Jakarta. Its specialty is in Manado (North Sulawesi) Food which is famous for its super spicy foods. I once had lunch here and this place has many choices of food and they put in on display so I can't snap one by one /sob. We came back here at late afternoon just to eat the super delicious Fried Banana served with Spicy Sambal and Es Kacang Duren (Shaved Ice with Durian and Red Beans). Best best combination ever! The spicy sambal is not only usual sambal. I can't even describe it. I mean it's not only consists of chili but there's a lot more and making it super tasty. And you eat it with sweet fried banana! Really worth to try and I would like to come back there every month :p And the shaved ice just delicious. Never before I adore local food as I adore my hometown food haha.

Pork Hainanese Rice

Instant Noodle!

Yay to pathetic food! Haha. No no. The pork rice is really amazing. I don't know where mom's best friend bought it then she sent it to our apartment. The crispy pork skin is flawless! Also comes with delicious sauce and perfect chili sauce. Yum yum yum! (Auntie, send us some more! :p)

2 ways cooked Suckling Baby Pig

Um.. I just realized that I haven't taken the pic after it left that amount :| Delicious!! Crispy Pork Skin and Honey Roasted Pork from MayStar Central Park. Yum yum yum! The other food I ordered was just okay. I will only come back for the pork and Yang Chow Fried Rice. And after I think back, if the Peking Duck wasn't sold out, we probably wouldn't notice this yum-yum pork ♥

Pork Skin!

Again! Haha. I told my uncle that I had lunch of pork and he thought I still want it so he ordered it. Again! Lol. This is Pork with Crispy Skin from Imperial Chef Hayam Wuruk. Mind to see my table? Here we go ;)

Mayo Shrimp, Peking Duck, Garlic Asparagus, Tofu -something (lol)

Char Siew Pao, Siew Mai, the same Mayo Shrimp as above

Not to mention the pork and Century Egg Congee (Pitan Egg) that has been done first, all of this table for 4 girls only! Me, my cousin and her 11 years old sisters. We're so good at eating ;D

Lo Mie Kangkung

The famous Lo Mie Kangkung from Cucu Pinangsia Greenville :) Pork alert. Haha. I made great decision by hitting the gym after these enormous calories from holiday. Anyway, may what I share be useful though.
Have a nice day! :)

T. G. I. F.

This post was taken today! I'm soooooo efficient lately I'm so proud of myself lol. I'm gonna blog about Chinese restaurant named Nan Xiang. Located at Senayan City, Jakarta. As on its advertisement said this is a restaurant specialized on Steamed Bun. Even so, I didn't order any bun ;p And it's quite a rare condition that I crave for Chinese Food anyway.. Here we go.

Having Jellyfish as appetizer. I always love jellyfish ♥ I happen to know that this original menu named Jellyfish with Spicy Vinegar in Singapore. But in Indonesia they provide Vinegar in different plate, which I didn't take at all. Instead, I ate it with salty soy sauce lol. It's delicious, having smooth cool sensation and quite sour. Seems like they're adding drips of lime or something.

Then my brother had Chicken Corn Soup but I forgot to take the pic -_-

Next came Sauteed Bean with Minced Beef and Wild Mushroom. I didn't see and didn't taste any mushroom tho. They came with my rice while my other menu still hasn't come out lol. As usual, my brother and I are big fan of this menu. Whatever Chinese restaurant we're going, we always end up by ordering this. No complain of this menu ;p even better I could say this tastes really great :) one of the best I've ever tasted.

Then my last order came :) Chicken with Lemon Sauce. Totally Lemon-y. Lol. Didn't think that the chicken will be deep fried like that. The picture on the menu didn't say so. But it's fried elegantly! It's deliciousssss. This is my bro's choice anyway.

They came with quite a large portion and for my barbaric self and my barbaric brother Nan Xiang is satisfying. Yes it's quite pricey but the portion is worth it ;) We enjoyed our Chinese Tea since my bro is having worst cough. Then I saw the dessert menu. I told him to pick what dessert he wanted.

He picked Guava Sago with Shredded Red Grape. I'm really awful in remembering name -_- the dominant taste is guava. At first I thought it's a drink than a dessert. Since the sago you can't find deep down there. But it's super fresh and yummy! Even better, they really made it from real guava! I found 2 guava seeds to testify its originality haha.. Even my bro that since he was a kid is really hard to say a word "Delicious", he mentioned it today. It's really fresh and has light texture and not too sweet. Just a perfect dessert :)

After the healthy lunch, I ended the day with unhealthy dinner.

FRIED INDOMIE!

Lol. Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna eat Golden Kiwi to kill all those bad toxic in that instant noodle ;p

Have a nice weekend!

Quick Updates

Being such a bird in cage since mom came here and decided to stay with me!!
Can't go anywhere, can't have a date, can't try the new Blitz Megaplex on Central Park last week. Sucks.
Til now I haven't watched Iron Man 2 yet. Tragic.
My boy, bro, sis and 3 other friends are in Singapore. Right at this second, while I'm typing, they are in Universal Studio. Apparently they are in madness of Roller Coaster now from text message I got from them just now =.=. I'm so losing energy on being envious. I've been super envious til I have no more energy left to keep envious. *stress typing*

So yeah.. since my mom is here. One good thing is every night, we eat outside instead of eating home cooking dinner or delivery services. But there's only 1 good thing. The other is only bad things. 2 company called me for interview for the job I applied and I can't go because she forbid me. GAH!

I guess I will just post some pictures on me had dinner in here. Karawaci is not so good in culinary life though. I still super curious about Nuzzy's at Central Park. SOMEBODY TAKE ME THERE~!

This is Po Ma Nee durian. (if I'm not mistaken the name --a)
I got this from mom when at the second night she's here. This is the sweetest durian I've ever tasted!
And I dedicated this picture to my boy who's been longing for durian for long time but didn't get it until now :p
*or he might be will enjoy durian tonight with bro.. damn heartache..*
The next day after this picture's taken, mom bought one more package of this durian, at the same place, but with lower price. But it's just yuck. So my suggestion will be, don't buy discounted durian at Lippo Karawaci. Seriously.

Then we had dinner the next day at Serba Food, Benton Junction. Mom was interested in the brochure stated that all food in there wasn't using MSG. Yeah oldies do care with that stuff.

We ordered Nasi Goreng Telur Asin (Salted Egg Fried Rice) and Mee Goreng Malaysia (Malaysian Fried Noodle). The fried rice is super average. Mostly plain only salt when you bite the egg part. I had to add additional chili sauce to the rice =.= The fried noodle is nice! It's tasty and a little spicy. Actually Malaysian Fried Noodle is the recommended menu at that place :)

For drink, mom's having Strawberry Flavor Tea. While I was having Strawberry Tea Shake. (is that the name? --a) I didn't take picture of mom's beverage since it looks like a tea. ==a
But mine is lovely!!!!!! I love how it tastes but I don't know what the maker put on that tea. I want the recipe!!! x_x My guess is tea, strawberry, milk, and ice cube :)) haha.. of course -_____-

For the dessert, we continued journey to Supermall to have Sour Sally. Guess what. Sally Candy Mix hasn't available on Karawaci. Until now!!!!
I've been eating Sally Candy @ Jakarta from last month. How can it hasn't arrived in here?
So mom and I just had Stylish Melon Mint instead. As information, since mom came from my hometown which doesn't have Sour Sally there, she's so addicted to Sour Sally and can eat that everyday. O M G ~
She even love it more after Sally developed this Melon Mint flavor.
As usual I had Mango and Banana toping =D

LOVE! =D

The next next day, mom was having laziness to cook and I have laziness to go out as well so I decided to make instan noodle -____-
I bought the new taste Curry-something. Forgot :)) haha.. pardon.
And I don't like!! 4 hours after eating the spice taste still left on my throat. Pain pain pain!! So deep taste of curry spice. Don't like T.T
Funny thing is the noodle is plain but the water is super red and spicy. Why do I think everything I eat has something confusing? @_@

Beside the noodle is my crazy writing paper hehe.. *not important detail =.=*

The night, exactly last night, I had dinner at T-Grill, Benton Junction.
I had T-Grill Tenderloin and Strawberry Milkshake, mom's having Mushroom Soup and Orange Juice. Only take a picture of Strawberry Milkshake because not interested at the design of the other. The menu of the night was actually Mushroom Soup with its Garlic Bread. But it's an appetizer and I've been really hungry. So yea.. you know me.. forget to take picture -.-
This is Strawberry Milkshake's pic.

Tastes more strawberry than milk :) enjoyable for everybody!

Anyway mom's getting annoying. Start to peek out what I wrote. iHate!
Gotta close this post soon. See ya~ :)

Review Review Review :D

I guess on the last post I was just too busy to publish the photos causing lack of review, isn't it? x_x
So sorry.. On my defends it was past midnight and I'm so tired hehe..
I'll make up on this post :)

In short, I would rate Jala-Jala as 8.5 out of 10. Why?
1. Leng Hong Kien, as everyone's agreed was the best dish ever.
2. Shrimp Balls, um.. not really nice though. The fried flour outside the shrimp kinda plain and felt quite weird on tongue.
3. Ha Kao, was just okay. The inside filling is 100% similar with Leng Hong Kien. Maybe that's also our fault of ordering most of all DimSum made of shrimp. But the dumpling skin for Ha Kao is also a little bit too dry.
4. Corn and Crab Soup, simply plain as I mentioned on last post. But nice thing is you can eat with no boundaries. While boundaries here I mean is the crab shell. Jala-Jala's Crab Soup is free of crab shell. Good thing! :)
5. Garlic Pachoi, nice but nothing special.
6. Beef Hotplate, tastes exactly like Black Pepper Beef. I don't know maybe they got wrong naming or what.
7. Xiao Long Bao, good! (do not eat the ginger LOL)
8. Jelly, I just try to cut it not tasted it haha..
9. Lime Juice, my beverage that night. Tastes just exactly a plain Lime Juice haha.. I don't know that's a good thing or not :p

For Pancious, I only tried 1 menu since I came there 30 minutes before they closed --'
The pancake's so smooth and not tastes so plain. I've ever ate Australian Breakfast Pancake Set (or whatsoever the name) on Pancake Parlour. But the pancakes were super plain!
Pancious' really a fresh wind for me. For that Mango Pancake menu, I would say 9 out of 10. The mango sauce quite weird. But I don't hesitate at all to come back there again and crazily eat more than 2 menus :p

Enough about last post. Let's talk about today :D
Today, I accompany my boy (again) to meet new business partner at Citraland. They were agreed to meet at Dunkin' Donuts.

Dunkin' Donuts is the first Donuts store in Indonesia. Though it's originally from Massachusetts, America *famous as international coffee and donuts retailer*. When I was a toddler (about 1990's), this donut store is the only one in Indonesia. Specifically only have few stores in capital city, Jakarta. It's like an exclusive thing to buy donut at that time. But nowadays many Indonesian's entrepreneurs have bought other donut store's franchise and bring them to Indonesia. Some entrepreneur even make they own donut originally made in Indonesia, which is good thing actually.

Back to topic.
To be honest, today was my first experience to eat inside the donut store. If I do take-away donuts, that would be uncountable. But to sit on the store and enjoy other product besides donut, that is today.

The partner said that he will be late for about half an hour. And I don't have my lunch, had a quite disturbance on my phone and on mind so that I can't do delivery service to order food.
Then my boy offered me to have dinner first before the partner came. Assuming that the partner would not be late for too long, we canceled our first plan to have Kin No Taki for dinner. It's so not polite if the partner came then we still have our dinner. So along with waiting, why don't just we eat at Dunkin'?

Then I ordered Sandwich 1 set. Consists of 1 Sandwich of your choice and 1 Orange Juice; costs about Rp 31,900.00. My choice was Boston Beef Pastrami.

-forget to take pic x_x this is the picture from Indonesia Dunkin' Donuts official website-

My boy ordered 2 donuts. (DPCB and Peanut)

Total payment was 40k something. Makes my boy unable to use his debit card. Haha..
The cashier offered him to buy one more thing to make the payment 50k so that he could use his debit card. (he always forget to take cash wherever we go --a)
He was about to choose one more chocolate donut while I jumped beside him to order my all-time favorite, STRAWBERRYYYYY!!
Funny thing is when blog this, I spend more than 15 minutes to find the picture of that Strawberry donut. It's even not listed on official Dunkin' Donuts website (both Indonesia and America). Confuse now.
I ate the simplest Strawberry donut. The one that I've always been eating since I was very young --a Why can't I find the picture?
Even when I Googled it on images.google.com it still can't be found. Super confuse.

So my Strawberry donut made the payment Rp 51,400.00. Yay the debit card could be used LOL.
Then I ate the Sandwich first. It consists of lots onion, 1 or 2 slice of tomatoes, that beef pastrami itself, unique Boston bread, sauce which I think supposed to be mayo sauce but doesn't really tastes so LOL, slice of cheese and lots lettuces. Completed with 2 sachets of chili sauce. YUMMY!
But I guess one part of that sandwich contains too much MSG. Because my throat feel like a weird dry until now. Maybe those MSG made the yummyness of the sandwich?
After I finished my sandwich, I continued with my strawberry donuts n_n
My boy looked at me and say, "Such a predator O_O"
Hoho thanks.. you'll be married this predator man.. *kicked*

About the donut, it suprisingly has the steady taste. On my sense, it's always the same taste since I was a child.
About peanut I never liked it. And my boy reviewed to me that DCPB has nicer taste than the peanut. Not surprise. I hate peanut.

After we finished eating, the partner still hasn't come yet @_@
Then we saw a clearance sale on King Rabbit *a bedcover store* then we decided to buy one. We do need it though ;)
The bedcover has nice pattern. Stripes on one side. And dots on the other side. In case you get bored you can use the other side to sleep (even though you feel nothing but the same --a but it is cutee :D).

I can't choose the pattern too cute though. My boy will complain ;( But this one is nice isn't it? :D
I've always been using this small brand since I live with parents until now I live alone :) recommended one because of lots choices of pattern and good quality of the fiber.

Well I guess that's all I can write for now. Gotta find the mystery why that lovely Strawberry donut isn't anywhere on the web. Hope you like my post! :) Good night~
